Feeling Better and Feeling Blessed

We are all feeling G-R-E-A-T!! Thank you Jesus :) You don't know how good you can feel until you get sick. I hate being sick!! I thank God that it came and went quickly.

I am rejoicing!

I wanted to share a few reasons why I'm feeling Blessed:

1. Our household is healthy

2. I have a Father in heaven who loves me (and you)

3. I have a wonderful husband and 2 wonderful boys

4. My mother is doing well with her dialysis

5. I have some wonderful friendships

6. I have a warm home and food to place on the table

7. I have more than one bible in my home that I can read

How do you feel blessed today?

A nasty cold

There is a nasty cold running around our house and everyone is catching it. Mom caught it first, then little Josh, James, Richard, and I am fighting it right now. This one is a doozy.

I have much to talk about and pictures to share so hopefully I will be feeling up to it soon :)

2 miles and still going

Wow, it has been awhile since I last blogged.

I am still running and improving. My first breakthrough was 1 mile and since then I have made it to 2 miles!!! Yippee!!! My sweet husband runs alongside me and cheers me on all the way. I still don't know how he can talk so much while running :) He can run forward and backwards while I'm running, grrrrrr. I still love him though :) He is my encourager and coach.

Tomorrow morning is a run day for me so cheer me on wherever you may be.

Windy Sunday

Today was a beautiful windy Sunday. It was so windy that me and my sweet little Joshie were blown into the children's room at church and we landed somewhere in the land of HA's.

Joshua and I watched a new movie today in children's church. It's a new movie by the VeggieTales called The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's, a story of a prodigal son.

The story is about Darby, the son of a Kansas floss farmer who just wants to have fun! When he learns about the Wonderful Land of Ha's, where you can do whatever you want, Darby is determined to go - even against his father's wishes.
But when Darby reaches Ha's, will he find all he's searching for...and at what price? Will it be worth everything Darby has given up- his home back on the farm? His father's love? Harvesting floss? Find out in the all -new family adventure that reminds kids everywhere that there's nothing like forgiveness and there's no place like home.

After church the wind blew us into one of our favorite Mexican restaurants here in town.

Gotta love the fresh, warm tortilla chips

After lunch the wind blew us home to a nice relaxing afternoon and evening.

One Mile & A Bible Study

It was a beautiful day today. I woke up this morning, had my quiet time with God and headed out for my walk/run. I was determined to run more than 1/2 a mile, but I wasn't sure how my body would react to it. My Richard has been such a great encouragement for me. He ran along side me pushing me until I ran 1/2 a mile. He continued on while I walked for a little while, & then I ran another 1/2 a mile. Today I ran a total of 1 mile, Yippee!!! I am on my way! Thank you sweetie for the motivation and the push.

Tonight my Women's bible study met for the first time this year. We took a break during the holidays and now we are back and ready to grow :) This study is amazing. God is so AWESOME and SO WORTHY to be PRAISED!!

Happy New Year!!

I hope you all enjoyed your New Year's Eve and day. We stayed home and watched the excitement from our television and from our upstairs bedroom window. James had some friends stop over that we hadn't seen in awhile so we all sat around snacking, telling stories and catching up with them. It was a blast. I absolutely love teenagers.
New Year's day was uneventful for us. I slept in until 11am!! I never sleep in that late. I guess my body needed the rest. I sprung up from the couch I fell asleep on, splashed some water on my face, put my hair in a ponytail, threw on my sweats and headed out for my morning....almost afternoon walk/run. Richard was my motivation. He was determined to get his 3 mile run in and he wanted me to go with him. I walked most of the time. I ran 3/4 miles and walked 2. Not bad for someone who hates running. We got back to the house, hit the couch and started channel surfing. We found a channel that was playing Christmas movies all day. We got sucked in to atleast 2 of them. It was nice since we never really sat down in December to watch any Christmas movies together. Later in the day I made a ham with all of the fixings for dinner, it was a perfect day.
