Mom

Thank you all for your prayers! Please keep them coming.


My mom is finally out of the hospital! She's not home with us yet though. She is now in a rehabilitation center. She will have physical therapy 3 hrs a day for 2-3 weeks. The hospital staff as well as Richard and I, think this will be the best thing for her right now. Mom has gotten very weak from lying in a hospital bed for almost 3 weeks. The therapy will help her so much.
Mom has been ill for the past couple of days. She has a horrible stomach ache. Yesterday they did a CAT scan on her stomach and couldn't find anything wrong. I think she may have some sort of virus, but I'm not sure. She has been through so much, I hate to see her suffer so much. Right now we are just taking it one day at time, trusting Jesus the whole way through.

Please continue to pray for her as she recovers.

Happy Resurrection Day

This has been one memorable week. I still can't fathom all that Christ has done for me and you. What an AWESOME GOD we have! He is so worthy of our praise!

I want to wish you all a wonderful Resurrection Day with your friends and family. He is Risen!!! Hallelujah!!!

For those of you with little ones I found this recipe stashed away from last year and thought I'd share it with you.



Resurrection Rolls
Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 large marshmallows
Melted butter
Cinnamon
Sugar


Directions:
1. Give each child one triangle shaped section of crescent roll. This represents the tomb.
2. Each child takes one marshmallow which represents the body of Christ.
3. Dip the marshmallow in the butter and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. This represents the oils and spices the body was anointed with upon burial.
4. Lay the marshmallow on the dough and carefully wrap it around the marshmallow.
5. Make sure all seams are pinched together well. (Otherwise the marshmallow will "ooze" out of the seams)
6. Bake according to package directions.
7. Cool.
8. Break open the tomb and the body of Christ is no longer there!!
9. Celebrate God's love!


UPDATE ON MOM: My mom was released Thursday from the hospital. She came home, got a great night sleep, went to dialysis on Friday and then........her blood levels were checked at dialysis and they were not good. I took her straight from dialysis to the ER across the street. She is back in hospital. My poor mom, she has been through so much. I didn't realize how dangerous blood clots were, and how tricky the medication can be to dissolve them. It looks like she will be spending Easter in the hospital. Please continue to pray for her.

My Mom

Please keep my mom Doris in your prayers. She has been through so much lately. She is in the hospital right with a blood clot in her neck. The doctors are doing their best to treat her. She can go home as soon as her blood levels are good.

Mom had surgery 2 weeks ago. She had a fistula put in her left arm for kidney dialysis and a catheter put in her chest. They will use the chest catheter to dialyze her from until her arm gets in good enough shape to be used for dialysis. This is how she had gotten the blood clot.

If any of you could say a prayer for her we would truly appreciate it.

Seek

I have to share with you all something God showed me & my 2 boys the other day.

Me, mom, James & Joshua headed out to take mom to dialysis. We dropped mom off and popped in my WOW worship cd. We were having a blast singing praises to God together. My little guy Josh was singing his heart out in the back seat & playing the air guitar, James was singing one part of the song while I sang the other. We were fully enjoying God and giving Him praise all the way home.

When we pulled into the driveway I noticed a light shining on our garage door and on the wall next to it. It looked like the light was spelling out something. I backed up the van a little and said to James,"Does it look like there is a word spelled out on the wall?" He looked and said "Whoa, it is!" It was one word.....SEEK. I had my digital camera with me so I told James to hurry and take a couple of pictures, I was afraid it would disappear. We looked at each other and said "Wow, God wants us to keep this up, He wants us to continue to praise Him and seek Him."

We ran in the house to tell Richard and show him our pictures for proof (..smile..). Richard saw the picture and said "Well, what do you think God is trying to tell us?" James jumped right in and said "Dad, he wasn't trying to tell you anything, he was showing me, mom & Josh." I couldn't help but laugh out loud when he said this. He wanted to make sure that Dad knew that this time, God was speaking to him.

Going back to my roots

I have been a blonde for a year now and I have decided to go back to my roots and become a brunette again. I must admit I did miss my dark hair.

Feeling Better and Feeling Blessed

We are all feeling G-R-E-A-T!! Thank you Jesus :) You don't know how good you can feel until you get sick. I hate being sick!! I thank God that it came and went quickly.


I am rejoicing!


I wanted to share a few reasons why I'm feeling Blessed:


1. Our household is healthy


2. I have a Father in heaven who loves me (and you)


3. I have a wonderful husband and 2 wonderful boys


4. My mother is doing well with her dialysis


5. I have some wonderful friendships


6. I have a warm home and food to place on the table


7. I have more than one bible in my home that I can read
